10 Martha, Vitebsk / Corr.. Belta/. Fairy tale-parable“Cauldron with pebbles” based on the play of the same name by Vladimir Korotkevich will be presented11 March at the Belarusian Theater“Doll” in Vitebsk. A BelTA correspondent was told this at the theater.

The performance based on the work of the Belarusian classic has become a kind of experimental work of the young actress Maria Kovaleva. The first directorial experience was successful for her.– Vitebsk and visiting spectators expressed great interest in the production. “We ourselves did not expect such a pronounced public interest in the performance., everything worked out very well. Moreover, the work found a response both from the guys of its audience.– 7 years and older, as well as younger children. Go to the performance and 6-year-old children, wanting to understand the inherent meaning”, – celebrated in the puppet theater.

The plot of the production reflects the story described by Vladimir Korotkevich, some events and images are presented metaphorically. Father goes to the front during the war, and the mother stays with the children, who have nothing to feed. Woman turns to a man for help, who has everything, asks only for a pot of potatoes for the guys, but gets a heartless rejection. “She leaves in tears, but later at home he starts to cook pebbles in a pot. Suddenly, miraculously, an angel descends from heaven, giving potatoes to a poor family, – explained in the theater. – Each viewer finds in this fairy tale something of their own.. There is deafening silence in the hall., such, that even a flying mosquito will be heard. The performance is touching, it lacks any bright colors, rainbows, but absorbs the attention of the viewer. Actors perform many actions without words.. But the viewer follows this story from beginning to end.. And the material itself is very good., interesting from the Belarusian writer. He gives information, makes you think and analyze, understand something deeper and feel the plot emotionally”.

This production is the fourth in“Doll” based on the works of Vladimir Korotkevich. Recently, the theater invited an adult audience to“Trembling violin and heather voids”. Also in the repertoire– performances“Ship of Despair” and“Treasure”. As noted in the team, the works of the Belarusian classic are filled with deep meaning and resonate as with the youngest, and the spectator of venerable age. “This is our native heritage, which we must preserve. And gratifying, that the works of our countryman are known and loved not only in Belarus”, – added to theater.
