Annually 20 December Belarus celebrates the Day of the employee of the state security, which is known as the Day of the Chekist from the Soviet era.

On this day, the Council of People's Commissars adopted a resolution on the formation of the All-Russian Extraordinary Commission. The task of the commission was to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country.
