13 February, Brest / Korr. Belta/. Memorial Complex“Brest Fortress-Hero” presents a virtual exhibition on its website“Ice loop of Stalingrad”, told a BelTA correspondent in a state institution.

The exhibition is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of the Battle of Stalingrad. It was created on the basis of exhibits from the funds of the Victory Museum in Moscow with the assistance of museums– participants of the international exhibition project“Territory of Victory”. So, The Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War and the memorial complex presented their materials for the exposition“Brest Fortress-Hero”, memorial Complex“Victory Park” (Uzbekistan), National Historical Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic, Azerbaijan Independence Museum, Search movement of Moldova, Military History Museum“Mother Armenia” and History Museum of Armenia.

“The Battle of Stalingrad is called the largest event in world military history.. By its scale, tension and fierceness of the battles, it surpassed all previous battles: on the territory of almost100 thousand. sq. km fought over2 млн человек. She went down in history as evidence of the greatest courage and heroism of the Soviet people.. The virtual exposition consists of three sections: the first reflects the defensive period of the battle, the second is dedicated to the counteroffensive and the encirclement of the enemy grouping, third– liquidation. Photos, документы, posters, flyers, front-line sketches and paintings by front-line and post-war artists are immersed in the chronology of hostilities.
