19 September Grodno inaugurated Belarus weightlifting championship. By tradition, the venue for the athletics arena became the central sport complex "Neman".

The competition will be attended by the strongest athletes of the republic, winners of the Olympic Games, World and European Championships. For four days the strongest Belarusian athletes will seek to set new records. According to the results of competitions the national team of Belarus will be formed, which will go to the World Cup in Turkmenistan.

The grand opening was attended by artists, "Musical theater "Rada" with bright vocal congratulation.
